This class is an unbelievable stress buster! After one hour of gentle stretching and soothing music my mind and body felt so relaxed and peaceful. For the first time in a very long time, I was able to sleep the entire night without getting up even one time. Elaine is an incredible teacher with the ability to instruct in a calm soothing stress free environment. By simply learning how to focus on my breath I’ve learned to quiet my mind and body and feel very at peace with myself. I am truly one happy Yogini! Thank you Elaine for opening me up to this experience.
My friend Barbara told me about this class and I liked it so much, I signed up for another session! Elaine is wonderful and the people in the class make it a great experience. I discovered how much the class was helping me while out sailing one day. I had flipped over and I was able to “dry flip” on my Laser and not get wet! I hadn’t been able to do that in 15 years and I know it was because of all the positions we had been doing in class. Thanks Elaine!
I took the FITtasticNJ Gentle Yoga class while training for the half marathon this past winter. In the beginning of my training program, I had difficulty recovering from long runs and wondered how I would manage when the miles really started to add up. Adding this Gentle Yoga class to my training regimen made all the difference! Utilizing the stretching poses learned in class prior to a long run dramatically decreased my recovery time post run and allowed me to successfully and enjoyably complete my half marathon training program. If you have an ambitious fitness goal in your future, adding this class to your training program is a must. Having never taken yoga prior to Gentle Yoga, I wasn’t sure what to expect but Coach Elaine’s patient instruction makes this class a wonderful experience. I am hooked!
